Try to play on a single zero roulette wheel this is because this will cut the house edge compared to a double zero wheel. Another way to cut the house edge is to find a roulette wheel which offers a surrender rule. But be aware it only works on even money outside bets.
Try to stick to some kind of betting pattern theirs nothing worse than changing your bet and the number you just had money on comes out.

- Dozens a bet that the ball lands in the first(1-12) second(13-24) or third(25-36) section of the board this bet pays at odds of 2 to 1
- 3 Columns/Lines a bet on one of the 3 columns/lines that contain 12 numbers each this bet pays at odds of 2 to 1
- Straight up a bet that is placed on a single number this bet pays 35 to 1
- Split bet a bet that is placed on the line between two adjoining numbers this bet pays at odds of 17 to 1
- Street bet a bet that is placed on a row of three numbers on the outside line of the board this bet pays at odds of 11 to 1
- Quarter bet a bet that is placed in the middle of 4 numbers this bet pays at odds of 8 to 1
- Six number bet a bet that is placed on the outside of the board where two lines from two rows meet this bet pays at odds of 5 to 1
